NaTonia Monét

Actress, Dancer, Singer & Comedienne

NaTonia Monét, a native of Richmond, Virginia, and a graduate of Thee Florida State University with a BFA in dance, has been performing practically since birth—whether in the womb, on stage, or in the deli meat section of the grocery store (it’s a long story but she was 5 and saw dancing meat on Sesame Street). Her early training includes nine years at the Richmond Ballet, four years at Henrico High School’s Center for the Arts, and further studies at FSU. But dance was just the beginning. She’s been a varsity cheerleader, show choir belter, saxophone player, roller skater, and award-winning artist. Her career has taken her around the world, from the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, to the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, starring in major productions like West Side Story, Dreamgirls, and Sweet Charity. She made her Broadway debut in Tina: The Tina Turner Musical and was recently seen in Pal Joey, directed by Tony Goldwyn and Savion Glover.

A true quadruple threat, NaTonia has expanded her artistry into writing and comedy, because why just act when you can write roles that make people laugh too? She’s snagged awards like the 2020 All the Laughs Comedy Award for best sketch and Best Horror Comedy at the 2021 Austin Comedy Film Festival. Her comedy has also landed her at UCB in Maude Night! Catch her with the sketch team, “Golden Hour” once a month. On-screen, she’s popped up in a television show or two. Her favorites include: The Other Two (HBO), FBI (CBS)The Last OG (TNT), and Survival of the Thickest (Netflix), and she hit theaters in June 2024 in the Sundance film festival hit PONYBOI. You may have also seen her in numerous commercials, most recently during the 2024 Super Bowl in a Hellmann’s ad (honestly she doesn’t even like mayonnaise, but football, hell yes)! As she continues to evolve as an artist, the future holds endless possibilities—whether it’s gracing new Broadway stages, creating groundbreaking content, or making a lasting impact on screen, one thing is for sure… NaTonia isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Unless, there is a Cinnabon involved. She will always spin the block for that.
